More baby news

I had my 14 weeks appointment today. Dr R did a scan and baby measured exactly 14 weeks. The Baby was moving around so much the doctor had to just take a measurement of the femur to get a date. My next appointment will be in four weeks. Dr took an educated guess and thought he saw a "peepee" but of course it's still early so won't know for sure until they do the gender scan. We both definitely want to find out what we are having because we don't have any boy clothes so we would need to prepare. Dr said there is a chance, because of my history that I could have placenta accreta. You can read about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Placenta_accreta

A very interesting read. It's actually possible that I could have had placenta accreta when I was pregnant with Kira because this condition can cause the woman to be unable to deliver the placenta and result in hemorrhaging. The hemorrhaging ultimately led to multiple d&e's which led to Ashermans. Placenta accreta is more commonly found in women with scar tissue or diagnosed Ashermans syndrome. Worst case scenario is they would have to c section me if they found this condition and do a hysterectomy. But this condition is very difficult to diagnose so they are sending me to an "expert" to give me a better shot at knowing what we are up against. Please pray for wisdom for the doctor and that they would not find this condition when I go in for my gender scan in mid September. I don't want to have the door closed on having the option to have more children if it is avoidable.

My girl :)
