It's been a few weeks since I've posted but it seems like a lot longer than that. Isn't it funny how when you're waiting excitedly for a moment to occur it always seems like it is taking foreeeeeeeeever to arrive? It has been almost three weeks since my surgery so I am thankful to have that behind me. And I'm feeling healthy so that's another plus. I have to credit the fermented cod liver oil for the health part, because I really have experienced good health since I've added it into my regimen in early November. If you're interested, you can read about it here. It seems as though the theme of my life for the last three years has been to wait so here I am waiting for a month or so to pass by and then we shall see what happens. Meanwhile, I do have plenty of things to keep me busy.
I am just underway preparations for another children's musical. This year we are going to revisit the first musical I did at church which was Esther. It was well written, with catchy music and a great story for the kids to think about and re-tell to the congregation. Plus, it is a nice one to do if you have an influx of young girls who want parts. When we had our announcement regarding signups for the musical, we had our biggest response ever and I am still trying to wrap my head around the idea that we had 72 children ranging in age from 5 1/2 to 15 sign up to be a part of our production this year. Wow! This will certainly help to keep my mind off the state of my uterus (haha!). Auditions started yesterday and we saw 37 kids, so it was a long morning, but good! Next Sunday will be the last audition day, not including call backs, then practices start February 10 and run for thirteen weeks until the performances May 11-12.
Fuse (similar to awana) has started again for K and that is always fun for her. Homeschool co-op doesn't start until February (which is just around the corner!) but MOPS has resumed meetings and that is always one of the highlights of the week too! And who could forget about choir!? That is also booming, we had quite a few new people show up in the fall which I expected to see drop off but everyone has stayed this year and we are sitting comfortably at a fifty person choir. This is my eleventh year doing choir and fourth year with the kids musical. Life is full and good! I am content and thankful.
