Progress

Even though I haven't posted in a while, there has still been much goings on. In fact, I have been thinking I better sit down and write it out before I forget, so here I go!

Dear T has been feverishly working so much, that all work on our basement had come to a standstill. Basically since before thanksgiving nothings been done except he made me some shelving for my laundry area which looks quite nice! Anyway, his last of 3 classes he was teaching finished up a couple weeks ago, so yesterday he dove into work on the basement. Yippee! He actually took a day off yesterday and spent most of it working in the small room that will become the office. He put up insulation over the wall I painted with dry lock, then Sheetrock. It was so nice to have him home and I helped him when I could and of course did the cleaning up! I must say though, once he gets going on something, he motors and that was yesterday, a flurry of activity and I was loving it!

Things with the kids musical are going smoothly. I always really enjoy the kids, plus I have a great group of people helping out at practice so it makes it that much more enjoyable!

Now that winter is in full swing, we have had some little critters coming into our basement. It is driving T crazy and gives him more motivation to finish/seal up the basement because we know that's how they are getting in. We got some sticky traps and I found one squealing in one of them this morning! Lovely!

I have been interested in learning about the essential oils lately. I like the idea of using that in my house instead of burning a candle. I got this "spa vapor" machine on a deal with my friend B for just under $25. You fill the container with tap water, then put 5-6 drops of whatever essential oil in you want. Today I am using the "on guard" essential oil which is supposed to kill all the bad bacteria in your house. It is a combination oil of cinnamon, wild orange, clove bud, eucalyptus and rosemary. Don't know if it will work but at least the house smells lovely!
