Halloween

It has been so busy I have not had time to blog so I will have to do a couple posts over the next days to catch up on what has happened. Stay tuned for the Disney post!

Anyway, I had to post this pic of T and K relaxing on the deck. the Saturday before the hurricane hit, dear hubby was hard at work making sure the house was secure and there were no loose objects that could fly away.
Hurricane Sandy kind of messed up Halloween this year but we still managed to do a few things and that gave K more chances to wear her fairy costume. On the Saturday before the hurricane, we did a trunk or treat halloween at the Discovery Museum. This was the only pic I got. Whoops!
Then Wednesday we went to the mall and trick or treated there too.
Not every store in the mall participated but a lot of them did and I saw many cute little pirates and princesses, although there were some strange costumes too...like the little girl below that K is staring at!

This has become my morning ritual and although it takes work, I am enjoying it! The two glass jars on the left are water kefir, both in different stages of fermenation. The kefir on the far left is on the first day of fermentation, the one next to it is on the third and final day. You can see the lid tightly closed on the last day of fermentation causes the kefir to naturally carbonate so it *almost* tastes like soda, except it's much better for you! I drink the kefir every other day. Then I also drink about 22 ounces of water with about three teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and mixed with a tiny amount of local raw honey.  I also have my coffee every morning but I didn't include in the picture!
After doing some reading on the subject, I am interested in adding fermented cod liver oil into my regimen soon which I will be ordering from my girlfriends co-op.
